Hyatt Privé is Hyatt’s preferred partner program is for booking luxury properties with additional benefits at no cost. In addition to other perks, we receive a free breakfast and a $100 property credit that can be used for dining, spa services, and other expenses.
Hyatt Privé amenities are included in Best Available Rate (BAR)/Standard Rate. Most travel advisors do not charge any fee for the booking. Though Hyatt Privé booking may not attract any cost, these aren’t the cheapest rate for the particular stay as member rates or other promotional rates may be lower.
Extra Benefits on Privé Booking
Most common benefits include:

· Early check-in, Late check-out, connecting/Adjoining room and room upgrade
· Property Credits from $50 to $100 per stay, varies by hotel and brand
· Guest welcome letter and welcome amenity
· Free Wifi
Only breakfast and property credits are guaranteed. Early check-in, Late check-out, connecting room, and room upgrade are not guaranteed and, if requested, the agent would contact the hotel and confirm within 24-48 hours which would be based on the availability at the time of booking and the hotel’s forecasted occupancy at the time of stay. However, I have seen that it can take more time than that.
Regarding room upgrades, the hotel generally does a one-category upgrade. Additional upgrades may be provided based on our status when we check-in. Further, no room to suite upgrades. So, we may want to strategic to book a room a category down from the one we are looking for.

Stacking Hyatt Privé with other programs & offers
Hyatt Privé special limited period offers
We can increase the value of the stay by taking advantage of frequent offers like third, fourth, fifth, or sixth night free offers. Other promotions might include a free parking space, a personal Beach Butler, free dinner for kids, a $150 extra hotel credit (thus total upto $250 credit), etc. If any promotions are running at the time of the reservation, we can ask the agent.
World of Hyatt Globalist (or Explorist/Discoverist) Status
The majority of the perks, such as Wifi, upgrades, breakfast, and late checkout, might not be necessary if we have Globalist status, but they would be helpful with other statuses. However, we could combine our stay with a property credit and special Hyatt Privé offers.
For the Hyatt Privé stay, we receive full WoH elite nights credit and points (including the status-based bonus or any promotion).
Hyatt Dining Club
Hyatt Dining Club is specific to Indian Hyatt properties only but one of my most lucrative Privé rate stays was clubbed with Hyatt Dining Club membership. Most Hyatt properties in India offer us discounts on dining and spa services. We receive a 50% discount on dining for two people (discount varies based on the number of diners), 20% off alcoholic beverages, 20% off spa services, etc. These can be used unlimited number of times within the membership period and there are other limited use vouchers like a 40% discount on dining or a 50% discount on a spa treatment.
We can apply the discount at the time of dining or spa and since it would get charged to the room folio, the same would be adjusted against the Privé credit. Once we had our $100 property credit stretch to $200!
How to book Hyatt Privé rate
We can’t make reservations on our own on the Hyatt website or App; only an agent may do so. I book with Live Luxe Travel Co who are quick to respond and help you with booking and other queries.
If we are only interested in breakfast and property credit, you could book with Hotelux or MasterCard Travel Concierge to avoid any back-and-forth emails.
In order to confirm our room upgrade and other booking details, such as early or late checkin/out or a connecting room, I would advise booking through an agent who would communicate on our behalf with the property.
Bottom line
Around 25% of the Hyatt hotels in India come under the Hyatt Privé program and it would make to always go for this rate if possible.
Hyatt Privé makes perfect sense, despite not being the cheapest option. More so for members without any Hyatt status. Hyatt Privé is one of the reasons why I tend to like Hyatt properties and the ability to stack with Hyatt Dining Club and WoH statuses for more value.
